TransPETROL, a. s. transported a total of 8,819,215 tons of oil in 2021. The main role in terms of realized revenues and utilization of the transport capacity of the pipeline in the operation of TRANSPETROL, a. s. is played by the SLOVNAFT, a. s., refinery in Bratislava. In 2021, the total transport of crude oil to this company was 5 481 294 tonnes, representing approximately 62 % of the transported quantity by the Družba pipeline in that year. Transport of the Russian oil export mixture was at 5,231,251 tons and the transportation of other CPC BLEND CRUDE OIL crude oil, supplied by CPC (Caspian Pipeline Consortium), via the ADRIA pipeline was at 250,043 tons. SLOVNAFT, a. s., is currently also the only oil customer in Slovakia.
The last years have been in terms of transport of other types of products in the history of TRANSPETROL, a. s. breakthrough. For the first time, the transport of a type of oil other than REBCO (medium-heavy crude oil from the Russian Federation) to the refinery was successfully transported. SLOVNAFT, a. s. It was KBT crude oil (medium-heavy crude oil with a higher sulphur content from the Middle East), contracted for SLOVNAFT, a. s.. The logistics of transporting KBT crude oil on the European continent consisted in transporting tankers to the Croatian port of Omišalj, followed by transport through the Hungarian Százhalombatta by the reconstructed ADRIA oil pipeline to PS-4 Tupá, where after carrying out the legally prescribed customs requirements and laboratory tests, it was transported to slovnaft refinery, a. s. The quantity and quality of individual doses of other crude oil was ensured by the newly built dose movement monitoring system in the control system.
In 2021, ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. transported TRANSPETROL, a.s. to ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. to ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s. to ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. also plays an important role in terms of realized revenues and use of the transport capacity of the pipeline.
In addition to oil transport, oil storage remains an important trading element in the business of TRANSPETROL, a. s., as well as oil storage. It uses its spare capacities for oil storage for SLOVNAFT, a.s., ORLEN Unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. or another customer. In 2021, the average daily invoiced quantity for storage was 4 475 tonnes of oil.
TRANSPETROL, a. s. considers its priority interest to be the constant strengthening of its strategic position in oil transport and storage for the Slovak economy and the increasingly efficient operation on the European oil market.
