Transpetrol, a. s., transported a total of 8,997,635 tonnes of oil in 2019. The main role in terms of realized revenues and use of transport capacity of the pipeline in operation TRANSPETROL, a. s., is played by the Slovnaft, a. s., refinery in Bratislava. Total oil shipments to this company were 5,096,289 tonnes of oil in 2019, representing approximately 56.64% of the quantities transported by the Satellite pipeline in that year. Shipments of Russian oil were at 4,963,227 tonnes and shipments of other oil through the ADRIA oil pipeline were at 133,062 tonnes. Slovnaft, a. s., is currently also the only oil customer in Slovakia.
The year 2016 was in terms of transportation , in the history of TRANSPETROL, a. s. Breakthrough. For the first time, the transport of a type of crude oil other than REB (medium oil from the Russian Federation) to the Slovnaft refinery was successfully carried out. It was KBT oil (medium oil with higher sulphur content from the Middle East), conched for Slovnaft, a. s.. The logistics of transporting KBT oil on the European continent consisted in transporting tankers to the Croatian port of Omišalj, then transporting via Hungary's Százhalombattu refurbished ADRIA oil pipeline to PS4 Blunt, where, after carrying out the legally prescribed customs formalities and laboratory tests, it was transported to the Slovnaft refinery. The quantity and quality of individual doses of other oil was ensured by a newly built system of monitoring the movement of doses in the control system. In 2017 TRANSPETROL transported 78,600 tonnes of CPC oil to SLOVNAFT, 216,292 tonnes of other oil in 2018.
In 2019 TRANSPETROL transported 133,062 tonnes of oil to Slovnaft.
Also an important role in terms of realized revenues and use of transport capacity of the pipeline in operation TRANSPETROL, a. s., unipetrol RPA, s.r.o. in 2019 transported TRANSPETROL to UNIPETROL a total of 3 820 946 tonnes of oil.
In addition to the transport of oil, the storage of crude oil remains an important business element in the business of TRANSPETROL, a. s.. It uses its spare capacity to store oil for Slovnaft, Unipetrol or other customers. In 2019, the average daily invoiced quantity for storage was 2720.67 tonnes of oil.
Transpetrol, a. s., considers its priority interest to be the constant strengthening of its strategic position in the transport and storage of oil for the Slovak economy and increasingly efficient operation on the European oil market.
